    Primanex Participates in the China-Israel Investment Summit Forum

    October 9, 2016, Qingdao

    The China-Israel Investment Forum (Go For Israel) was held on September 20th at the Jin Mao Hai Yue Hotel in Pudong, Shanghai. This is the 16th annual Go For Israel event and the first time outside Israel. The forum was jointly sponsored by Israels Cukierman Investment Group and China Everbright Group-Catalyst China-Israel Fund to promote Israeli technology and innovation to China and deep cooperation with Chinas capital and market.

     Opening ceremony of the forum

    In order to promote Israels small and micro innovation enterprises, the Israeli government is also quite “hard-working”. A number of high-ranking officials delivered speeches. Among them are the Ambassador of Israel to China (Matan Vilnai), the Consul General of Israel in Shanghai (Amikam Levi), and the Consul General of Israel in Chengdu (Amir Lati), Chief Scientist of the Israel Ministry of Science and Technology (Prof. Alexander Bligh) and the founder of the forum Israel Cukierman Investment Group (Edouard Cukierman) and the founder of the Catalyst Investment Group and the former Minister of Agriculture (Yair Shamir). They all showed in the full-day forum. I am fortunate to represent our Israeli partner Pentalum Technologies to attend the forum and introduce our joint development results. As a small and micro enterprise, and we really want to praise these enthusiasts.

    Chinas co-organizers, China Everbright Group (CEO Chen Shuang) and Yafa Capital (president Jiang Xiaoyang) have done their best as the hosts. As for the government, Lu Zufang, the District Mayor of Jiading, and Yang Caoming, the mayor of Jiangsu Haimen City, spoke on behalf of the famous "Technology Satellite City" and Chinese investors. And international big-names such as Lenovo, Baidu, Everbright, China Merchants Bank, Credit Suisse, Nokia, Alcatel, KPMG, Deloitte, Bloomberg and Rothschild Group also came. According to the organizing committee, the original planning venue was for 600 people, and it is estimated that 800 people can still accommodate. In fact, the attendance is more than 1,700 people. To a certain extent, this reflects Chinese investors’ desire for technological innovation in China’s economys transformation and innovation.

    The organizing committee carefully arranged all-day meetings in the following six aspects:

    o Chinese investors investment and acquisition in Israeli technology;

    o Market strategy of Israeli companies in China;

    o Israels role as a channel in China goes into the US market;

    o Israeli technology companies presentation - bridge between Israeli technology and China’s opportunities;

    o China-Israel cooperation;

    o Face-to-face meeting between Israel’s technology companies and China’s potential investors.

    The climax of the conference was when more than 80 high-tech companies participated a presentation: each company has 90 seconds and three slides; when the speaker starts speaking, the screen jumps out of a huge 90 Seconds icon, then countdown in seconds, which is breathtaking. This detail can tell the ingenuity of the organizing committee! Generally, when the representatives from technology companies introduce their technologies and products, they tend to detail the technologies. It is time-consuming and cumbersome, and the audiences can be very confused and tired. In addition, they tend to ignore the market and prospect that should be emphasized. It is undoubtedly a huge test for the speaker to let the audience know about a company with just three slides, and the audience is of course should quickly grasp the key points. I am fortunate to have this precious experience: our Israeli partner Pentalum Technologies was unable to participate, and I was invited to represent Pentalum to introduce the wind lidar we jointly developed. I was self-confident that I can fully introduce our technology in 90 seconds without prior rehearsal, but when I was on the stage, it is a little indecent haste actually.

    The organizing committee arranged a one-on-one meeting in the whole conference, which allows Israel’s technology companies to meet face-to-face with potential prospective investors. Undoubtedly, the conference attracted many major guests and stimulated high-level and wide-ranging discussions, and the 90-second company show (if it is good enough) could arouse the investors interest. At this time, the one-on-one meeting seemed to be down-to-earth and sensible.

    The forum was tense and had a full content. We learnt from Jews who are known for their savvy and pragmatic. In the innovation and public entrepreneurship in the land of China, local governments, innovation incubators and investors could learn from this forum.
