Primanex Participates in the 2016 China Meteorological Society Annual Meeting

On the 3rd November, two hours before the midnight, the Xian police suddenly issued the next days vehicle restriction rule. This is the first time that Xian has imposed a restriction because of the weather.

Under the thick smog, the meteorological elites gathered in the ancient capital city - Xian, which was in response to the ancient saying that " when Heaven is about to confer a great office on a man, it first exercises his mind with suffering, and his sinews and bones with toil"; and the 33rd China Meteorological Society held as scheduled from November 2nd to 4th. Primanex was going to participate and study in the spirit of “strengthening the cross-disciplines and assisting the development of meteorology”; this will be a new challenge for Primanex, which just started at wind energy industry.

The conference organized cross-disciplinary exchanges based on the characteristics of the disciplines, and set up a total of 22 venues covering disaster weather research, atmospheric physics, atmospheric composition and environment, meteorological services, lightning physics and lightning protection, radar detection technology, and meteorological satellite technology. The study of the atmosphere, especially aerosols, has aroused our interest. We noticed the important role played by ancient and emerging optics in these areas: from the observation of visibility, the measurement of cloud height and thickness, the particle size, composition, distribution and migration of aerosol, measurement of boundary layer height, to measurement of atmospheric temperature and more challenging wind measurement, laser technology is everywhere. What is gratifying is that the conference has set up a lidar venue, attracting experts from all fields of meteorology.

During the conference, we also visited the pavilions and exchanged ideas with the elites in the industry, which benefit us a lot. In particular, we exchanged extensive and in-depth ideas with the lidar peers and discuss the application prospects and challenges of lidar in the meteorological technology industry.

After three days of intensive study and exchange, we not only expanded our knowledge, but also understood the domestic and international meteorological market, industrial chain and overall level.
