Dr. Zhao first introduced why we use fiber optic communication. Then based on the students’ learning progress, he explained the basic principles and practical applications in the field of fiber-optic communication, with emphasized on wavelength management and dispersion management in the optical switch and optical-fiber communication, Dr. Zhao brought students with the magic and power of optical technology.
In addition, Dr. Zhao shared his own experience of starting a business and the difficulties encountered in the industry. Also, he communicated with students about the backward status of Chinas precision processing industry. Dr. Zhao admonished the students to be down-to-earth, to consolidate the basic knowledge in the study, as well as pay attention to the frontiers of the discipline, not to be knocked down by the difficulties. After the lecture, the students had close communication with Dr. Zhao on their future career and further education. The students said that the exchange was easy to understand and in depth, and hoping that Mr. Zhao would come to the university to exchange again.
