Primanex Participated in the 2017 Annual Meeting of the Chinese Meteorological Society

When it comes to meteorology, many people may be like me, first think of the weather and climate. I have to say that meteorology is an area that is both familiar and unfamiliar to everyone. In todays society, science and technology play an important role in economic development. The cooperation between enterprises and school has been inseparable and complemented. Primanex was invited to participate in the 34th Annual Meeting of the Chinese Meteorological Society, from September 27th to 29th, Zhengzhou.

The theme of the annual conference is “Innovation Leads Meteorology Serve the People”. The number of participants, including meteorological experts and related enterprises from all over the country, is unprecedented. There are 21 sub-conference venues, 3 special forums, 3 interdisciplinary exchanges and the ceremony commemorating the centenary of the birth of Mr. Xie Yibing. Academician Wang Huijun, Chairman of the Chinese Meteorological Society, Yu Wenxin, Deputy Director of the China Meteorological Administration, and Wang Tie, Vice Governor of Henan Province, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. The speech focused on promoting the advancement, the academic exchange and the popularization of meteorological science and technology, and culture meteorological talents, hoping that the meteorology will make greater contributions to social development and peoples life.
The opening ceremony
Vice President Wang’s opening speech was humorous. Several sets of data he mentioned left everyone a deep impression: as the country’s first populous province, Henan has the largest number of pigs, cattle in the country, and 70% of the instant noodles people eat every day come from Henan, and the grain output has been the first place for many years. The people of Henan deeply rely on the weather, and the importance of meteorology is self-evident.
The venues were even more brilliant. The meeting invited academician Ding Yihui from Chinese Academy of Engineering, academician Zhang Renhe from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the UCLA Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Science Professor Liao Guonan and other experts to deliver the speech on the frontiers of meteorological science, meteorological modernization and other aspects. In addition, more than 1,300 meteorological workers also exchanged ideas on their research results.
During the conference, we were surprised to discover that Primanex core products such as magneto-optical switches and etalons have been integrated into the meteorological innovation and played an important role. In the report Solid State Lidar Technology for Sodium Layer Wind Temperature Detection from the Wuhan Institute of Physics and Mathematics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the three-frequency switcher uses the magneto-optical switch technology to form a laser beam of three wavelengths to scan the space. By testing wind speed and atmospheric temperature of up to 110 kilometers, they provided data for the detection of mid-to-high-level atmosphere and high-altitude sodium layer for the national major scientific project - "Meridian Project". According to the experts, the laser radar has been transported to Yangbajing, Tibet, for further observation.

In the Q & A session of the conference, Dr. Zhao Qiang, general manager of Primanex, and the experts at the conference led a multi-faceted discussion. Primanex’s technology and products attracted attention. The chairman of the venue specially invited Dr. Zhao to give a speech. Dr. Zhao explained the core technologies and products of Primanex to the participating experts and scholars who responded enthusiastically. They hope to listen more voice from the companies like Primanex.at such an academic conference and invite Primanex to give reports at the meeting next year.
