More specifically, Primanex custom designs collimator optics for compact-CWDM (CCWDM) modules in order to achieve lowest insertion losses, ensure as uniform as possible insertion losses among all channels, and use less types of collimators to simplify supply chain and inventory management. Only three types of collimators (differing in color) are used in above “8+1” module for example. Further flexibilities are provided so that customers can select specific geometrical configuration, different fiber types, and filter types etc.
Besides CCWDM, Primanex also custom designs collimator optics for sophisticated optical devices and modules such as Wavelength-Selective Switch (WSS), Interleaver, Tunable Optical Filters (TOF) etc. Meanwhile in order to accommodate specific requirements, Primanex custom designs special collimators with designated beam size, beam divergence, beam pointing angle, and working distance etc; besides, Primanex offers high-power /and polarization-maintaining collimators.
