Primanex's Faraday Rotator Mirror (FRM) is the result of years of extensive experiences in magneto-optics technology. Primanex is the first within China to design, develop and manufacture FRM. This product has been positively remarked by scientists and engineers from research institutes and universities ever since 2001, and widely used in fiber optic gyroscope, and undersea acoustic detection systems etc. FRM has been successfully used for temperature, pressure and speed sensing. FRM is a single fiber optical component, which is to rotate polarization state of incident light by 90-degree so that the outgoing and incoming light beams are orthogonal in polarization. Its typical application is fiber-type Michelson interferometer: FRM, functioning as the mirrors for both signal arm and reference arm, can cancel out the contribution due to random changing of polarization of O/E light beams, hence keep the visibility of interferometer very close to 1.
